Why did a post fail to publish?

Most failures are expired connections or platform rules (video format/length, missing permissions). How to diagnose and reschedule.

When a scheduled post fails, check these in order:

  1. Connection status, Social → Accounts. An expired/disconnected account is the most common cause; reconnect and reschedule the post.
  2. Platform rules, each platform enforces its own limits (video length, aspect ratio, file size; e.g. TikTok and YouTube are strict about format). If one platform fails while others succeed, the media likely violates that platform's rules, try a different cut or image for it.
  3. Account permissions, posting to a Facebook page or LinkedIn organization requires your connected user to still be an admin of that page.
  4. Platform outages, rare, but platforms occasionally reject posts temporarily; rescheduling later succeeds.

Failed posts stay in the calendar so you can reschedule them after fixing the cause. If posts to one platform keep failing and the connection looks healthy, message us in chat with the brand and platform, we can see the exact error the platform returned.
