Reconnecting an expired or disconnected social account

Platform tokens expire periodically or after password/security changes. Reconnect from Social → Accounts; scheduled posts resume after.

Social platforms expire access tokens regularly (roughly every 6 months, or immediately after a password change, security checkup, or permission revocation on the platform). When that happens the account shows as token expired or disconnected in Social → Accounts, and scheduled posts to it start failing.

To fix:

  1. Go to Social → Accounts,
  2. Click Reconnect on the affected account and complete the platform login,
  3. Check the status shows connected again.

Your posting schedule, calendar, and drafts are untouched by a reconnect, publishing simply resumes. Posts that failed while disconnected can be rescheduled from the calendar.

If reconnecting keeps failing (especially Facebook/Instagram), log in to the platform directly first and complete any pending security prompts, then retry. Still failing? Message us in chat with the platform and brand name.
