Besides a manual pause, campaigns pause automatically in three situations:
- Meta connection lost. Meta access tokens expire or get revoked (e.g. after a password change or security checkup). Fix: go to Settings → your organization → Meta and reconnect your account, then re-enable the campaign in AI CMO.
- The linked promotion ended. If the campaign was tied to a Marketing Calendar offer, it pauses when the offer's end date passes. Fix: extend the offer or start a new campaign.
- The daily budget charge failed. On managed campaigns (and fee charges), if your card can't be charged, the campaign pauses to prevent unpaid spend. Fix: update your payment method under Settings → Billing, then re-enable.
After fixing the cause, re-enable the campaign from the AI CMO page. If it won't resume or you're not sure which case applies, message us in chat, we can see the exact pause reason on our side.
